Charles A.Neises

Charles A. Neises, 76, of Tremont Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., died Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 26, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Charles retired in 1990 as vice president of sales for Barger Packaging Corporations, Elkhart, Ind., after 31 years of service.
Charles was born May 1, 1928, in Hazelcrest, Ill., to Joseph and Rose (Hiss) Neises, who preceded him in death along with a sister, Delores Huber;and a brother, Joseph Neises.
On Feb.18, 1950, in Chicago, Ill., he married Gail E. Rader, who survives, along with four daughters, Sue Ann (Tom) Connon of Dayton, Ohio, Diana (Danny) Pugh and Karen (Steven) Austin, both of Mishawaka, and Nancy (Jim) Gamble of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sons, Michael (Chris) Neises of Granger, Ind., and Charles P. (Julie) Neises of Mishawaka; and 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 28, and 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Friday in the HICKEY Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend.
Charles was a member of St. Joseph Parish, where he served as an usher. He was a member of Toastmasters and was a blood donor. He served with the U.S. Army from October 1946 to February 1948.
