Andrew J. “AJ” Krizman (nee Krizmanik)

Andrew J. Krizman (AJ), 89 years old, residing at Holy Cross Village, Notre Dame, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of South Bend, IN.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Florence, and 6 children Paul Krizman (Mary Jo), Connie (Mitch) Hill, Bill (Sheri) Krizman, Mike (Helen) Krizman, Barb Krizman, Carol (Mike Finnerty) Krizman, a sister, Julie, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Andrew was preceded in death by his son Andrew T. Krizman and his siblings Matthew, Katherine, Helen, Steve, John, Anne, Arthur, Edward, and his parents John & Julia.

Andrew’s hobbies included golf, antique cars, and flying. He loved attending many of his grandchildren’s sporting events/activities and Notre Dame football & basketball games. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He was a strong supporter of the South Bend/Mishawaka community through both his business & charitable endeavors.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 21, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 19704 Johnson Road, South Bend, IN. Father John Delaney will celebrate. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Road, South Bend, IN from 2 pm – 8 pm with a rosary at 2 pm. Committal will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.
