Carl E. Liggett

Services for Carl E. Liggett, 69, of 59600 Marker Lane, who died about 7 a.m. Monday in his home of natural causes, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the River Park Tabernacle.
Mr. Liggett retired in 1982 after 22 years at Materials Handling Equipment Corp. of South Bend. He was born June 6, 1916, in LaPorte, and lived in this area 43 years, coming from LaPorte.
On Nov. 8, 1934, he married Gertrude M. Harnden in South Bend. She survives, along with three daughters, Carol J. Magaldi of South Bend, Elaine L. White of Mishawaka and Susan A. Hummel of Culver; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and : a brother, Robert of Orlando, Fla.
Mr. Liggett was a member of the River Park Tabernacle and Local 364 of the Teamsters union.
