Claude Robert "Bob" Campbell

Claude Robert "Bob" Campbell, 72, of 1839 Tudor Lane, died Tuesday at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. Mr. Campbell was the president of C.R. Campbell & Sons Heating & Air Conditioning Co.

He was born Sept. 28, 1915, in Lafayette, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident.

On Oct. 7, 1972, in South Bend, he married Jeanette M. Hatfield, who survives with a son, Ron R. of South Bend; three stepdaughters, Patricia Megyese, Susan Davis and Laura Hatfield, all of South Bend; four grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Pietzak of South Bend; and a brother, James F. of South Bend.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 336 N. Main St.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge 235, and was a life member of the YMCA. He was a veteran of World War II.
