Nellie (Zigmont) VanMiddlesworth

Nellie Victoria VanMiddlesworth, 88, of Canton, mother of a Mount Pulaski man, died at 1:13 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, in Graham Hospital in Canton. Mrs. VanMiddlesworth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton and its Altar and Rosary Society.

She was born Oct. 5, 1916, in Canton, a daughter of Martin and Agnes Czerak Zigmont. She married Woodrow VanMiddlesworth April 6, 1938, in Canton. He died May 30, 1989.

Survivors include one son, Dennis VanMiddlesworth of Mount Pulaski; one daughter, Sally Romine of Canton; one sister, Cecilia Pilger of Peoria; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A brother and four sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. VanMiddlesworth's funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St.

Mary's Catholic Church, Canton, with the Rev. Rick Pilger officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Canton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home, Canton, with a 6:45 p.m. prayer service. Memorials may be made to Swam Special Care, 109 Kenwood, Champaign, Ill.
