Matthew J. Zabik Sr.

Matthew J. Zabik Sr., of 51601 Bob O'Link Dr.. died at 6:10 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital after suffering a heart attack.

He was born in South Bend June 21, 1915. He was employed by the Bendix Products Division of Bendix Aviation Corp.

On Feb. 3, 1937, in South Bend, he married Nada Wolf. Surviving are his widow, Nada; two sons, Matthew Jr. and Roger; and a daughter, Connie at home; his mother, Mrs. Anna Zabik, of Akron, Ohio; and three brothers, Thaddeus, of South Bend, and Chester and Stanley, both of Akron, Ohio.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the stock Colonial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m, Thursday in Christ the King Catholic Church with Rev. George Baxter, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Clay He was a member of the Clay Township Lions Club and Toastmaster's Club. He was also a committeeman for Clay Township Troop 450, Boy Scouts of America.

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
