Gerald V. Yates

There will be no services or visitation for Gerald V. Yates, 71, of Arvado, Colo., formerly of South Bend, who died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Humana Mountainview Hospital, Denver. Cremation will take place. Olinger Mortuaries, Wheatridge, Colo., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Yates was employed as a pressman for 23 years by the South Bend Tribune. He was born July 30, 1916, in South Bend, and lived in South Bend until moving to Florida in 1958.

He is survived by two daughters, Susan Mavesoone of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Charlotte Tamberrino of Inverness, Fla.; a son, Gerald J. of South Bend; seven grandchildren; a great a sister, Shirley Edington of Largo, Fla.; and a brother, Dick of Battle Creek, Mich.
