Joseph Walter Wroblewski

Joseph W. Wroblewski, 88, of St. Paul's Retirement Community in South Bend, Ind., passed away at 3 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, in Southfield Village.

He was born on Nov. 12, 1915, to the late Walter and Anna (Sosnoski) Wroblewski in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. His brother, Norbert Wroblewski, also preceded him in death.

Mr. Wroblewski retired in December 1977 from the Bendix Corporation after 43 years of service.

On Aug. 30, 1941, he married Corinne M. Walsh in St. Patrick Catholic Church, South Bend. She survives, along with two daughters, Judy (Ken) Kobb of South Bend and Shirley (Chuck) Davidson of South Bend; one son, William (Carol) Wroblewski of Stevensville, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Mindy Rohr, Bradley Wroblewski, Jennifer Ford, Deborah Kobb, Suzanne Kobb, Michael Davidson and Geoffrey Davidson; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Rixie, Braelin Troup and Jacob Ford; and two sisters, Florence Demske of South Bend and Geraldine (Bernard) Williams of South Bend.

Mr. Wroblewski was a member of the Cathedral of St. Matthew and its Holy Name Society, the Achievement Forum and the Polish Businessmen Association. He had also served for nine years on the South Bend Redevelopment Commission. He was a 1934 graduate of Central High School.
