VANDALIA - Services for Alton G. Wirick, 68, of 63266 Kinsey St., Birch Lake, who died at 11:29 p.m. Thursday in the emergency room of Three Rivers Area Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Romig Funeral Home, Marcellus. Burial will be at Poe's Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, where there will be candlelight service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday by Vandalia Lodge No. 290, F&AM.
Mr. Wirick was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Three Rivers.
He is survived by his wife, Sonja M.; two daughters, Patricia Brey of Oak Park, Ill., and Cheryl Lyn, at home; three sons, Alton George Wirick of Vandalia and Harold Edward and Michael Glen, both at home; three grandchildren; and a brother, George Thomas of South Bend.
He retired as a professional engineer in the electrical industry. He a member of the Pleasant Vlew Church of Christ in Cassopolis, South Bend Masonic Lodge No. 294 F&AM, Scottish Rite Consistory of the Valley of South Bend, Hadi Temple of Evansville and the Order of the Eastern Star in Vandalia.
