Doris (Wiltfong) Kanouse

MISHAWAKA — Doris Kanouse, 91, of Mishawaka, passed away on Sunday, June 10, in the Healthwin Specialized Care Facility, South Bend. Doris was born on August 29, 1915, in South Bend, as the daughter of Wilburt and Irene (Bunton) Wiltfong.She was preceded in death by her parents;a sister, Ida Hahn;and by three brothers, Kenneth, Don and Carl Wiltfong.

On February 11, 1938, she married Richard D.Kanouse. Surviving Doris are her husband, Richard; a daughter, Pat (Jerry) Whitfield of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Chris Young of Triangle, VA, Mark Young of South Bend, Matthew Young of Indiana and Kelli Whitfield of Mishawaka;five great-grandchildren;a sister-in-law, Margaret Wood of Mishawaka, and a brother-in- law, Eugene Kanouse of Mishawaka.

As per Doris’ request, there will be no visitation and no services. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W.8th Street, Mishawaka, is handling the arrangements.
