Hugh T. Williams

Hugh T. Williams, an executive of the Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corp. who formerly worked in Toledo, died in St. Agnes Hospital, White Plains, N.Y. He was 44.
Mr. Williams, a divisional marketing manager, held that position with the firm in Toledo until his division was shifted to New York City a year ago. He worked on special sales assignments with Owens-Illinois Glass Co. from 1951 to 1953, when he joined Owens-Corning.
He was born in Cass County, Indiana, and attended Indiana University. While in Toledo, Mr. Williams and his family lived at 206 East Wayne St., Maumee. He was an elder in St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He was a veteran of World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star while serving in the air corps.
He also was president of the National Insulation Manufacturer's Association, and had appointed marketing manager* of industrial sales of the industrial construction materials marketing division at Owens-Corning shortly before leaving Toledo. He also had served as executive for an insulating contracting firm in Philadelphia before coming to Toledo.
Surviving are his wife, Estelle: son, Jeffrey, and a daughter, Anne, all at home in Armonk, N.Y., and mother, Mrs. Henry Haumsseur, and a sister, Mrs. Lavern Ries, both of Mishawaka, Ind.
Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Mt. Kisco, N.Y., with additional services in the Piffer Mortuary. Niles, Mich., on Tuesday.
The family requests that any tributes be in the form of contributions to charity or to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.
