Carmel A. (Wickey) Turnock

Carmel A. Turnock, 69, of 28 N. Third St., Mishawaka, died at 10 a.m. Saturday in her home after an illness.

Born, March 9, 1915, in LaPorte, she lived in South Bend most of her life.

On Jan. 10, 1935, in South Bend, she married Edward W. Turnock, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia Austin of Osceola and Jo Ann Wheeler of Gulfport, Miss.; three sons, Edward W. of Charlotte, N.C., Michael L. of California and Lawrence of Granger; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Webb of Mishawaka; and a brother, Glen Wickey of Michigan.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson.
