August C. Van Autreve

August C. Van Autreve, 66, of 1222 Pyle, South Bend, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born on Feb. 7, 1916, in South Bend, he retired in 1975 after 40 years of employment with White Farm Equipment Co., formerly the Oliver Corp.

On June 21, 1941, in South Bend, he married Helen Lykowski, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Miss Patricia Van Autreve, and his mother, Mrs. Flor (Mary) Van Autreve, both of South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hahn's DeVos Funeral Home, Mishawaka. A rosary service at the funeral home will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.

He belonged to the Volksring Club, Moose Lodge 58 and St. Anthony Catholic Church.
