MISHAWAKA - Ailene Barbara Anderson, 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2012 in Golden Living Center, Mishawaka.

Ailene was born on October 15, 1914 in Berwyn, IL to W.S. and Pearl (Katsorf) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents & a son, Charles Anderson. Surviving are her daughter, Joyce M. (Lewis) Boydston of Lake, MI; six grandchildren, Charlene (Gale) Lanning, Cathrine Dickerson, Kimberly (Bill) Hisaw, Connie (Russ) Patterson, Kevin Anderson and Christopher (Penny) Anderson; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond L. Thompson of Palm Coast, FL; and a nephew, Raymond Thompson of Fort Thomas, KY. Ailene moved to South Bend in 1930 coming from Chicago. She graduated from Central High School in 1934. She was a Bookkeeper for Associated Finance for 18 years before retiring in 1971.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Bob Vale officiating.

Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
