Nellie I. (Teeter) Turney

Nellie I. Turney, 64, of 67042 Mich. 62 N., Edwardsburg, died at 3:15 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born on Jan. 17, 1916, in Hugoton, Kan., she had lived in the South Bend area most of her life, moving to Edwardsburg 16 years ago.

On Nov. 29, 1934, in South Bend, she married Richard L. Turney Sr., who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Vanderbosch, of Edwardsburg; a son, Richard L. Jr. of Edwardsburg; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; four sisters, Mrs. Arabella Pataky of South Bend, Mrs. Mary Roys of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Margie Pratt and Mrs. Eileen Spice, both of Mishawaka; and five brothers, Robert, Clifford and James Teeter, all of South Bend, Donald Teeter of Homes Beach, Fla., and Kenneth Teeter of Osceola.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. Rev. Michael P. Schulz, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cassopolis, will officiate. Burial will be in Adamsville Cemetery, Edwardsburg. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
