Raymond G. "Pete" Simcox

Raymond G. "Pete" Simcox, 67, of 50984 N. Michigan St, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, Aug 2, 1982 in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was a former Studebaker Corp. employee. He was born on Dec. 3, 1914, in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident.

On May 3, 1941, in South Bend, he married the former Marian R. Moore, who survives, with two daughters, Mrs. Judith R. Chesnut of South Bend and Mrs. Kenneth (Barbara) Coddens of Edwardsburg; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Joan M. Slisz of South Bend, and four brothers, Chester W. Simcox and Ralph E. Simcox, both of South Bend, Robert H. Simcox of Warsaw and Billy L. Simcox of Canoga Park, Calif.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 33 N. His son-in-law, Rev. Glenn F. Chesnut, United Methodist Church minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Eye Bank or to the American Cancer Society.
