Robert J. Shilt (89), founder and leader of the Bob Roberts Society Band passed away May 30, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. Upon retiring to Lake Worth, FL he formed and directed Bob Roberts Society Band.
For over 20 years, the Band played at such places as the Howard Park Senior Center, Palm Beach Cultural Center, Boynton Beach Civic Center, Trump Towers, and the Joseph Morse Geriatric Center. The band continues to perform each Friday afternoon at the Boynton Beach Civic Center under the able leadership of Dick Reid.
Bob is survived by his Companion Myrtle Kovarik, Las Vegas, NV; Daughter Nancy Russ of Mishawaka, Indiana; Son Jack Shilt of Houston, TX; Daughter Cynthia Wadsworth, Lake Worth, FL and numerous Grand Children and Great Grand Children.
