CASSOPOLIS Evelyn G. Schrump, 85, of 25193 Pine Lake St., Edwardsburg, died at 6:55 a.m. Sunday, June 18, 2000. at Elkhart, Ind., General Hospital, after an extended illness.

Born March 14, 1915, in Jefferson Township, she was a lifetime area resident.

On May 11, 1935, she married Ronald H. Schrump. Her husband survives, along with: two sons, Ronald L. (Kay) Schrump of Edwardsburg and Keith E. (Noreen) Schrump of Franklin, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Michael A. Schrump, Kelly J. Polmateer, Erin B. Schrump and Kathleen B. Schrump; and five greatgrandchildren, Michael L. Schrump, Jennifer L. Schrump, Makayla A. Schrump, Brandyn T. Polmateer and Justin R. Polmateer.

Private graveside services for the Cassopolis United Methodist Church member took place at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles on Wednesday afternoon. Cremation has taken place; there was no visitation at Connelly Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Claudette Haney, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Lawton, officiated.

Mrs. Schrump belonged to Jefferson Township Home Economics Club.

Memorials may be made to Cass County Medical Care Facility in Cassopolis.

She graduated from South Bend, Ind., Central High School.
