Gertrude (Rosenfeld) Hersh

Gertrude Hersh, age 88, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, died Feb. 2, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Hospital. Born July 15, 1916 in South Bend, IN, she was a daughter of Max and MinnieRosenfeld.

She married Herman Hersh; he predeceased her.

Mrs. Hersh worked many years at Orrington Elementary School in Evanston, IL as a Special Education Teacher, and loved to pla y bridge. She and Mr. Hersh were members and founders of Beth Emet, the Free Synagogue, 1224 W. Dempster, Evanston, IL 60202. Mrs. Hersh also was a member of Bat Yam Cong., 5151 NE 14th Terr., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33334, 954-928-0410.

Survivors include daughters Frances (Thomas) Ehrhart, 1022 Colony Lake Dr., Schaumburg, IL 847-882-5661, and Jud y (Allen) Zern, 14 N.

Burial will be at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004in Star of David Funeral Home - Mausoleum
