RIEDER, John Joseph, M. D., age 78; former Pasadena resident; retired orthopaedic surgeon; former Chief of Staff and Administrator of Orthopaedic Hospital in Los Angeles; pioneer in limb re-attachment surgery; passed away in the presence of family on October 10, 1994 in Mission Viejo.

Survived by his wife, Joyce; daughters, Pam Rieder (Myers) of Huntington Beach, Debbie Cain of Costa Mesa, and Robin Hoff of Atherton; sister, Josephine Haythorne of Laguna Hills; five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Dr. John Rieder Memorial Fund at Orthopaedic Hospital of Los Angeles. Funeral Mass held at St. Kilian Church, Mission Viejo.
