Eugene Anthony Rapela

Memorial services for Eugene A. Rapela, 73, of 218 S. 29th St., who was found dead Thursday in his home, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Kaniewski & Sons' Funeral Home. Results of an autopsy performed by the St. Joseph County coroner were not immediately available. Cremation will take place. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.

Mr. Rapela was a tool and die maker and former employee of Aucilla Inc., Mishawaka. He was born May 16, 1915, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

He is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Manuszak of Edwardsburg; three grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Dixson of South Bend; and a brother, Wilbur of South Bend.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 58 and Polish National Alliance No. 83.
