Carolyn Grace (Olson) Palm

Carolyn Grace Palm, 92, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2008, in Alpine Fireside Nursing Home. Born August 20, 1915, in Rockford, the daughter of Herbert O. and Judith (Miller) Olson.

She married James W. Palm on August 24, 1941, in Rockford.

Carolyn was a member of Bethesda Covenant Church. She was a devoted homemaker while being active in the Church Circle, a local garden club and the family cousin club. Carolyn and Jim loved traveling and spent time traveling throughout all 50 states during their 66-year marriage. When travel became difficult, they enjoyed winters at their Florida home. Carolyn was a loving, caring and wonderful mother and grandmother. Her kindness always affected the people she touched during her life.

Carolyn is survived by: her husband, James; sons, Alan Palm and Dennis (Maryann) Palm; grandchildren, Kristie Palm, Joshua Palm and Rebecca Palm; sister, Marion (Jerome) Fontanne.

She was predeceased by her parents.
