SOUTH BEND - Casimir Molenda, 77, of Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, and formerly of South Bend, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Fountainview Place. Mr. Molenda was co-owner of Avenue Radio. He was born Jan. 3, 1915, in South Bend and was a lifelong resident of the area.

On Jan. 25, 1964, in Calvary, Ky., he married Cynthia Thompson. She died in 1989.

Surviving are a sister, Helen Chikar of South Bend; and three brothers, Steve and Joseph, both of South Bend, and Frank of Nevada.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today. St. Joseph Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc. or the Cancer Society of St. Joseph County.
