Louis H. McCarty

Louis H. McCarty, 69, of Chula Vista, Calif., formerly of South Bend, died at 3:02 a.m. Friday in Bay Hospital Medical Center, Chula Vista, after an illness. 

A memorial service was held Monday in Mercy Hospital Chapel. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Born Jan. 14, 1916, in South Bend, Mr. McCarty had lived in Chula Vista for the past 36 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Patricia Ann McCarty and Sheila Marie McCarty, both of Chula Vista; a son, Michael Louis McCarty of Chula Vista; a grandchild, and a sister, Mary Bryan of Mishawaka.

Mr. McCarty was a 1934 graduate of the former South Bend Central High School.

The Humphrey Chula Vista Mortuary handled arrangements.
