Joseph Alexander Marko

SOUTH BEND - Joseph A. Marko, 78, of Buckskin Lane, died at 2:50 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of natural causes. Mr. Marko was the manager Beacon Bowl Pro Shop. He was born Sept. 16, 1916, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Sept. 28, 1940, in South Bend, he married Gertrude E. Cebulski. She survives with two sisters, Mary Ann Lipinski and Marcella Eberhart, both of Mishawaka.

He was a member of Hungarian Democratic Club and was inducted into the South Bend Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1978.

Memorial services will be at a later date. Cremation will take place. There will be no visitation. Kaniewski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
