William B. Love

July 13, 1916 - March 13, 1996

SOUTH BEND - William B. Love, 79, of Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, died at 4:35 a.m. today in the nursing home. Mr. Love retired from AM General Corp. as director of technical services in the truck and chassis division and was employed by Studebaker Corp. for 25 years.

He was born July 13, 1916, in Peru, Ind., and lived in South Bend most of his life.

On June 29, 1940, in Chicago, he married Elizabeth Ann Hixon. She survives with two daughters, Sandra J. Bunkley of California and Linda J. Florist of Ohio; a son, Michael W. of South Bend; six grandchildren; and a sister, Jane Witner of Dearborn, Mich.

He was a graduate of Purdue University and member of Lions Club and SCORE.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, in N. William Welsheimer St. Cremation Funeral will take place. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home
