Frank J. Krause
July 18, 1917- March 22, 1996
MICHIGAN CITY Frank J. Krause, 78, of Elm Street, died at 7:30 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony Hospital.
Mr. Krause was assistant postmaster for 36 years. He was born July 18, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
On Dec. 27, 1945, in Boston, he married Bronya A. "Bunny" Jonusas. She survives with six daughters, Diane Weiler of Wauconda, Ill., Corinne Smith of Gila, N.M., Kahne Krause of Sunland, Calif., and Linda Krause, Debbie Krause and Donna Piludu, all of Michigan City; and a son, Glenn of Michigan City.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moose Lodge 980 and Michigan City Exchange Club.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, where a rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. and Moose Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana Heart Institute or North side Cardiology Group in care of St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
