Dorothy H. (Kowalski) Fuze

SOUTH BEND - Dorothy H. Fuze passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at her home.

Dorothy was born in South Bend, Indiana to the late Leonard and Johanna (Hazinski) Kowalski and has remained a lifelong resident of this area.

On June 1, 1940 in South Bend, she married Andrew G. Fuze, who preceded her in death on February 29, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Russo, and brothers, Erwin Kowalski and Nicholas Kowalski.

Dorothy was previously employed at Koontz Wagner and National Milk. She was a lifelong member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, South Bend; the Rosary Society of St. Hedwig; ZB Falcons and the Polish Alliance. Dorothy's father and grandfather were the founders of the St. Joseph Polish Cemetery.

Mrs. Fuze is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Jerry Graf of Mishawaka, IN; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Irene Fuze of Ft. Wayne, IN; five grandchildren, Jeff (Elizabeth) Fuze, Kevin (Elizabeth) Fuze, Melissa (Ryan) McMasters, Ryan Graf and Ragen (Shawn) Carlton; nine great-grandchildren, Adelynn, Emma, Jackson, Abby, Monica, Morgan, Andrew, Rebecca, and Elizabeth; and one sister, Lucille Landise of California. She was a fond aunt to many.
