Florence L. (Kirsch) Huffman

May 21, 2011 SOUTH BEND — Florence L.Huffman, died May 21, 2011 in The Milton Home. She was born in South Bend to the late Max and Clara A.(Jannasch) Kirsch.Also precededing her in death was her brother, Herbert Kirsch, Aunt Thelma VanDeWalle, Uncle Lester Jannasch; cousins, Norman E. Jannasch, Lester E. VanDeWalle and Russell C.Jannasch.In 1940 in Bryan, OH, she married Ray D.Huffman who died in 1990.

She is survived by cousins Paulette Fisher (Ronald) of South Bend, Joyce Jannasch of Mishawaka and Joan VanDeWalle of Pella, Iowa.

Florence was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and served as a moderator and was the secretary for the Board of Deacons.She was an executive secretary at the former National Bank and Trust Co.for 12 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 25, 2011 in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1501 W.Cleveland Rd., and Entombment will be at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. Special thanks to friends who supported Florence during her illness.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church or Harbor Light Hospice.
