Donald C. Hosler, 72, of 19549 E. Orchard St., died at 3:20 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Hosler was the starter at Burke Memorial Golf Course at the University of Notre Dame and formerly worked at the Studebaker Corp. and White Farm Equipment. He was born April 28, 1914, in South Bend and lived here all his life.

On Oct. 25, 1932, in South Bend, he married Rose E. Wolf, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Maribeth McKaig of Bloomington, Ind., Cynthia Gaddis of Mount Clemens, Mich., and Carol Cain of Fort Wayne; a son, Donald P., of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and a brother, William Hosler of Key Largo, Fla.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today. Cremation will take place at the Michiana Crematory.

Mr. Hosler was a member of the Burke Golf Memorial Association.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
