Osceola Green

Osceola Green, 91, of South Bend, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 11. Osceola was born April 8, 1914, in Paducah, Kentucky. He was born from the union of Baylum and Bettie Green. Osceola was one of four kids from this union. Lena, Rufus and Willie Green, all of whom preceded him In death. Osceola moved to Lydick, Ind. He graduated from Central High School.
Osceola later would wed Beulah Hamilton. From this union they had nine children, Richard (Connie) Green, Jerry (Birdie) Green, Thomas Green deceased, Dennis, Karen and Keith Green, all of South Bend, Vernetta (George) Smith of Romulus, MI, Jackie (Stan) Thompson of Chicago and Patricia (Donald) Wallace of Cassopolis.
Osceola worked for Gilbert's clothing store for 27 years. Osceola retired from Van Ogleberg Construction after 14 years.
Osceola is survived by his wife, Beulah Green of 65 years, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.
Services for Mr. Osceola Green will be held Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, in the Clark-O'Neal FH.. 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, IN. Visitation will be at noon. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The Clark-O'Neal F.H. has been entrusted with arrangements.
