William Lawrence Fuerbringer

Nov 28, 1914 - Nov 26, 1963

William Lawrence Fuerbringer, 48, of 1144 E. Dayton St., branch claims manager of Michigan Mutual Liability Insurance Co., 113 W. Monroe St., for the last 20 years, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital following an illness of two weeks. He would have been 49 Thursday.

A lifelong resident of South Bend, he was born here on Nov. 28, 1914.

He also had worked for International Harvester Co., Emmco Insurance Co. and the Preferred Auto Insurance Co. He had served as president of the Claims Manager Council, Claim Adjusters Club and the Claims Arbitration Committee. He was a member of Portage Lodge 675 and the Scottish Rite, Valley of South Bend.

He married Dorothy Anderson on Sept. 3, 1938. She survives with two sons, William Jr. and Robert C., both of South Bend.

Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. today at the Welsheimer Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Kenneth Foulke, pastor of All Saints EUB Church, officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery, where the Portage Lodge will conduct graveside rites.
