William J. Davis Sr.

Services for William J. Davis Sr., 68, of 50865 U.S. 31 N., who died at 2 a.m. Tuesday in Zephyrhills, Fla., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 31. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral chapel.

Mr. Davis was born Jan. 25, 1917, in LaPorte, and lived in South Bend most of his life. He retired as owner-operator of Davis TV Sales & Service.

On June 26, 1937, in South Bend, he married Marietta N. Goddard, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, William J. Jr. of Grand Rapids and Charles of Niles; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother, Richard of South Bend.

He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and VFW Post 1167. He was a Navy veteran of World: War II
