STURGIS - Services for Jerome H. Christiaens, 74, of 67714 Thunderbird Drive, who died about 11 a.m. Friday at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and d from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rosenberg-Schipper Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Mr. Christiaens worked for the Studebaker Corp. for 26 years and was employed by Ford Motor Co., Livonia, Mich., for 16 years. He was born July 24, 1915, in South Bend and lived in Sturgis since 1977, coming from Livonia.
On June 14, 1941, in South Bend, he married Antionette Sokoloski, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Rebecca McNally and Pamela Gay, both of Battle Creek, and Carol Burling of Granger; five grandchildren; and a sister, Madeline DeBoever of South Bend.
He was a member of the church and was a stained-glass artist participating in art exhibits in Indiana and Michigan. He was a graduate of former Central High School, South Bend.
