Mary Ellen (Chrisman) Young

Mary Ellen Chrisman Young, 56, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., daughter of the late Frank S. Chrisman, former president and general manager of South Bend Toy Mfg. Co., and chairman of the board of Playtime Products, Inc., died unexpectedly Monday in Broward General Medical Center, Ft. Lauderdale, of natural causes.

Surviving are her husband, M. R. (Cy) Young, former Ft. Lauderdale mayor; five sons, Dennis, Michael, Eugene, all of Baltimore, Md., Fred of New Jersey and Chris of Hollywood, Fla.; three daughters, Miss Sandra and Miss Ann Young, and Mrs. Stephen Shelton Jr.; a brother, John Chrisman, all of Ft. Lauderdale, and 12 grandchildren.

Mrs. Young graduated from Connecticut College for Women, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Junior League, and many civic organizations in Ft. Lauderdale. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Chruch, Ft. Lauderdale, Dr. Clem Bininger, officiating. Burial will be in Lauderdale Memorial Park there.

Memorial contributions may be made to Leo Goodwin Institute for Cancer Research, c/o Nova University, Ft. Lauderdale. The Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
