Evelyn R. Hegg, 52, of 1901 McKinley Ave., died at 8:05 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital after an illness of one week. Born Jan. 3, 1918, in Parkersburg, W. Va., she had lived in this area most of her life.
On June 3, 1940, in South Bend, she was married to Billy S. Hegg, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Larry D. of South Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Donald L. Robison Jr. of Kalamazoo, Mich.; two granddaughters and two brothers, Gerald M. Chichester of South Bend and Harold J. Chichester of Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 2 to and 7 to 9 p.m. today and until 11.a.m. Wednesday in the OrvisPalmer Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. David J. Lynch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
She was a member the church, past president of the church's WSCS and past-president of the Gamma Kappa chapter of the Sigma Colfax Ave.
