Rosamond “Rose” L. (Wolfram) Gross
July 8, 1915 – July 2, 2006
Rosamond “Rose” L.Gross, 90, formerly of Lakeville, IN, passed away at 6:05 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2006, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, IN. Rosamond was born July 8, 1915, in Pulaski County, IN, to the late George and Ruth “Elizabeth”(Brooke) Wolfram. She was the third child born into the family of eight children. She graduated from South Bend Central High School at the age of 15.She attended Central Bible Institute in Springfield, MO, and was ordained and licensed to minister with the Assemblies of God in 1954. She pastored in Lakeville, Huntington, Knox, South Bend and Medaryville, Indiana. She had a love for poetry and collected many poems over the years.She was retired in Tucson, AZ, for more than 20 years before coming back to Indiana in 2005.
Rosamond was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lauraine Vance and Marguerite Reinholt, and one brother, David John “DJ” Wolfram. Rosamond is survived by three sisters, Betty Niles of Mishawaka, Carol (Martin) Master of Monterey, IN, and June (Carl) Master of Monterey;and one brother, Charles (Violet) Wolfram of Lakeville;and many nieces and nephews.
We wish to thank the staff at Miller’s Merry Manor, the chapel of Fort Wayne, IN, and her many other caregivers. She will always be cherished in our hearts, and she will be missed very much by her lifelong friends, Gwen Rosamond (Paul) Miller and Kay Lorraine (Paul) Ludwig. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m.Friday, July 7, 2006, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN. Burial will follow at New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006, in the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Rosamond “Rose”L.Gross may be made to the charity of donor’s choice
