Edna C. (Motts) Smith

Edna C. Smith. 89. of Fountainview Place, Mishawaka. formerly of Portage Road, South Bend, died at 5:25 a.m. Thursday. Oct. 10, in Fountainview Place. She was born on February 21, 1913. in South Bend to the late Myra (Cross) and George Motts.

On June 21, 1935, in South Bend, as Edna C. Motts she married Claude A. Smith who survives. Mrs. Smith is also survived by a daughter, Claudia (Kenneth) Kirkdorfer of Buchanan, Mich.; a son, Duane (Marjorie) Smith of Fort Wayne, Ind.; three grandchildren, Lisa Jo Metz, DeWayne Kirkdorfer, Jeanne Smith; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, South Bend.

Services for Mrs. Smith will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend, where friends may call one hour prior to services. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. David Jenkins pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Northern Indiana Chapter 425 N Michigan Suite 308 South Bend. IN 46601 1236
