Marian Lucy (Lobeck) Andersen

Marian L. Andersen, 87, of Southfield Village on Miami Circle in South Bend, Ind., died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001. A native of South Bend, she was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lucy Lobeck. She was married to the late Walter Andersen.

She lived in Chicago, Ill., for 30 years before returning South Bend. While in Chicago she managed several apartment buildings on Lake Shore Drive. After returning to South Bend she became very active in the needlepoint guild. Some of her great F pieces of work were displayed in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. She also contributed an ornament for the White House Christmas tree.

Marian will be greatly missed by her brother, Richard, and his wife, Sharon of Wilmington, N.C.; and by her nephews, Michael LoBeck and his family of Indianapolis, Ind., and David Lobeck and his family of Cleveland, Ohio.

Marian was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of South Bend
