Virginia F. (Dillon) Scheiman

March 15, 1912 - July 25, 1997

Virginia F. Scheiman, 85, of S S. 23rd Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 9:07 a.m. on Friday, July 25, in Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 15, 1912, in South Bend.

As Virginia Dillon, she married Otto Edward Scheiman on Aug. 8, 1933. Otto preceded her in death on March 24, 1987. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Ginny Scheiman and Constance Danadio.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra (Bill) Davenport and Sharon (Joel) Harman, both of South Bend, and Jacqueline (Jack) Kizer of Mishawaka, Ind.; and by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Virginia was a member of the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church of South Bend.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood, with Rev. Edward L. Fritz officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the American Cancer Society.
