Janet Louise (Budd) McMichael

SOUTH BEND - Janet B. McMichael, 79, of Riverside Drive, died at 11:25 a.m. Monday in her home.

Mrs. McMichael was born Jan. 29, 1913, in Indianapolis, and lived in South Bend since 1920, coming from Indianapolis.

On Nov. 10, 1938, in South Bend, as Janet Budd, she married Guy H. McMichael Jr. He died Aug. 9, 1990.

She is survived by a daughter, Gloria M. Berg of South Bend; a son, Guy H. III of Washington, D.C.; and two grandsons.

She was a member of Cathedral of St. James Episcopal Church, St. Joseph County Historical Society, South Bend Art Center, charter member of Ladies of Notre Dame; and past president of South Bend Junior League, Children's Dispensary Board, Lung Association and St. Joseph County Bar Auxiliary.

Private services and burial will place Thursday in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.
