Carlton S. Wood

Carlton S. Wood, 61, formerly of South Bend, died in Tujunga, Calif., Monday of an apparent heart ailment after a short illness. He was born in Bridgman, Mich., on Sept. 30, 1912, and had lived in South Bend 40 years.

He was an employee of the Weber Baking Co.

He is survived by two sons, Edward J. of Phoenix, Ariz., and Larry E. of California; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Trotter and Sally Wood of California; a brother, Virgil of Oxnard, Calif., and four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Humphrey of Detroit, Mrs. Cora Shetler of Battle Creek, and Mrs. William M. Johnson and Mrs. Robert E. Berk, both of South Bend and 13 grandchildren.

The Bade Mortuary, Tujunga, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wood was a member of First Christian Church of South Bend.
