A. Lyle Tuttle, 91, of Sun City, AZ, formerly of South Bend, died May 18, 2005, in Corina's Care Center in Glendale, AZ. He was born on August 11 , 1913, in South Bend, to the late Bertice A. Tuttle and Myrtle Mae Lewis.
On May 9, 1936, he married Bessie Clary, who also preceded him in death in 1993.
Lyle graduated from Central High School, and studied Architecture at the University of Notre Dame. He worked for Reinke and Sons Construction Corporation, Brown and Brown Construction of Wakarusa, IN, Whitcomb and Keller Real Estate Company, and he also worked at the Bendix Aviation Corporation during World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in South Bend.
Survivors include a daughter, Joy (Nathan) Welch of Niles, Ml; a son, Donald (Andrea) Tuttle of Areata, CA; a brother, Bruce (Fran) Tuttle of Chicago, IL; and two grandchildren, Penny and Nathan.
There will be private visitation and services held at a later date. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
