Genevieve G. Giek, 65, of 55440 Meadowview, died Wednesday at home after a brief illness. She was retired from the Travelers Insurance Co. in 1975. Born on Dec. 19, 1916, in South Bend, she had lived here all her life.

On Feb. 28, 1948, in South Bend, she married Bernard James Giek. He died on Feb. 19, 1978.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Leeper of Bremen and Mrs. Jeannette Grebe of Waynesboro, Va.; five grandchildren; and a brother Lyle Scameheorn of South Bend.

Friends may call from 2t 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William.

She was a member of the Bowlers Country Club. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart
