South Bend -- William Rapport, 80, of 1110 Victory Ave., died at 7:14 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Rapport was the owner of the former Kordona TV for more than 30 years. He was born Dec. 26, 1912, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.
On Feb. 12, 1956, in South Bend, he married Marjorie Raab. She survives with a brother, Morrey of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Sinai Synagogue, Jewish War Veterans and B'nai B'rith, a charter member of Self-Help for Hard of Hearing of Michiana, a captain for Metropolitan Fire Association Emergency Canteen, and a veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. today in the chapel of Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka [Indiana]. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the synagogue.
