Bernice Chreist Services Today

Funeral services for Bernice Chreist, a former president of the Albuquerque YWCA, will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Chreist, 65, was an Albuquerque resident for 32 years and the wife of Fred M. Chreist Sr., a retired member of the University of New Mexico faculty. She was a member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Chapel at UNM and the UNM Faculty y Women's Club.

She died Tuesday in an Albuquerque hospital.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Fred, are three sons, Fred M. Chreist Jr., Steve B. Chreist and Bill A. Chreist, all of Albuquerque; a brother, B. Koehler of Parma, Idaho, and five grandchildren.

Strong-Thorne Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
