CLARA A. (GOOLEY) VANCE

Clara Anna Vance Oct. 15, 1913 - Sept. 6, 2015 MISHAWAKA - Clara Anna Vance passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015. She would have been 102 on October 15. Born at home, she lived her entire life in this area.

She graduated from Central High School with honors.

Clara married John D. Vance in 1936. He preceded her in death in 1969. They had seven children. Surviving are Marilyn Paridaen (Roy), Robert Vance (Barbara Jean-deceased), Barbara Bolin (Art), and daughter-in-law, Sally Vance. Deceased are Nancy Schroeder, John Roy Vance, Beverly Manly and Richard Alan Vance. Clara's large and loving family consisted of 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Clara was active to age 101 with family, friends, volunteering and traveling. She was an active resident at Tanglewood. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Mishawaka for 70 years. Mom was a loving, caring, special matriarch of her large family, who adored her and mourn her passing but wish her eternal love and peace. She made the best hot cross buns every Easter for 80+ years! Rest in peace Mom! The family would like to give a sincere Thank You to her niece, Mary Satterlee, and the entire Tanglewood staff for such loving care.

Per Clara's request, there will be a private family service. Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka, has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
