Mary Alice (Bush) Ruklic
April 11, 1913 - February 24, 2005
Mary Alice Ruklic, 91, of Wells Street, Niles, Mich., formerly of Grape Road, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, in Riveridge Manor, Niles. She was born on April 11, 1913, in South Bend, Ind., to Leroy and Dessie (Goheen) Bush and was a lifelong area resident.
In October, 1934 in South Bend, she married Charles P. Ruklic who preceded her in death in 1965. Then on Nov. 5, 1966, in Homewood, III., she married Paul L. Ruklic, who died in 1973.
Mrs. Ruklic is survived by three stepsons, James Ruklic, William Ruklic and Richard Ruklic, all of Chicago; many nieces and nephews, including a niece, Sandra Richcreek of Dowagiac, Mich.; nine step-grandchildren; several step-great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Irene Bush of South Bend.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Clough and Marguerite Surber; and by one brother, Hugh Bush.
Mrs. Ruklic attended St. Peter's United Church of Christ, South Bend; was a member of American Legion Auxiliary 303; and a graduate of South Bend Central High School.
Private services will be held Monday, Feb. 28. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend is assisting the family with arrangements. Contributions in memory of Mary Alice Ruklic may be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 915 N. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN 46615
