Catherine A. Whiteman, 84, died Tuesday, September 4, 2001, at the Emanuel Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, September 8 in the chapel of Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary with Rev. Nita Crump Howard officiating.

Survivors include a brother, a nephew, a niece. Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary.

Catherine, known as Kitty, married Lawrence on March 6, 1938 in South Bend, St Joseph Co, Indiana. They did not have any children.
