James Harry West, 78, of Pinellas Park, Fla., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died Friday, Aug. 2, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., after an extended illness. Mr. West was former co-owner of West Printing Company, South Bend, Ind.

He was born Feb. 16, 1918, in South Bend, Ind.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Bunnell) West of Pinellas Park, Fla.; a son, Tom West of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Wilkins of South Bend, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

Mr. West was a member and past exalted ruler of B.O.P.E. 235 of South Bend, Ind., and a member of Faith Covenant Church of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend, Ind. There will be no visitation. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
